Q: What is Native American Events? And what is it for?
A: Native American Events is a project that was created by our Native American Encyclopedia team. The purpose of Native American Events is to help our audience find Native related events in their areas.
Q: What is ‘Home, Calendar View and Location View’?
A: By default, under Home, you will find all upcoming events in our database. Under Calendar View, events are sorted into a calendar table to help you find events on a specific date. And under Location View, you will be able to search for events that are near you using Google maps.
Q: What to do when I want to find a specific event?
A: When you are looking for a specific event, it’s best to use the Search Box located at the top right corner of the site. Just type in the name or keyword(s) and hit ENTER.
Q: There is incorrect information in one of your events, how can I help modify it?
A: Please email the name of the event and the correct information to info@nativeamericanevents.com and we will take it from there. Please allow 1-2 business days for changes to take effect. You can also use the ‘Contact Us’ form to get a hold of us.
Q: Who’s allowed to submit events?
A: Everyone is welcome to submit/share their events with our audience.
Q: Why should I submit my event?
A: You should submit your Native American Event because it is completely free and we will communicate to over 100,000 people that we reach out to on a daily basis.
Q: How do I submit an event?
A: Click on ‘Submit Event’ link on the main navigation and fill out all the required fields. You will also need to attach a photo (or logo) for your event. Photo/Logo can be in the following formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png or .gif, and should not be larger than 2MB. Please allow 1-2 business days for your events to show up after being reviewed by our team.
Q: I see there is a ‘Featured Events’ section on the home page. What is it for?
A: ‘Featured Events’ is a premium service that is created to maximize exposure of an event to our audience. For more info on ‘Featured Events’, please send an email to premium@nativeamericanevents.com.
Q: How much does it cost to submit an event?
A: Submitting your Native American Event is FREE. However, your event has to be Native American related to get approved and ‘Featured Events’ does have fees applicable.
Q: This is great. However, when I visit the website using a smartphone, I’m unable to use some functions. What gives?
A: Our site is customized for smartphones/mobile devices and since some of the functions won’t work properly on smaller screen, they have been deactivated.
