Come and enjoy this wonderful native experience as tribes from all over the Mid-Atlantic region and elsewhere gather on ancestral grounds to celebrate and share our cultures on the west side of Roanoke Island along the tranquil waters of the Croatan Sound.
This event will feature a gathering of American Indian tribes from across the nation dressed in tribal regalia, traditional and contemporary American Indian music, dance, visual arts, storytelling, back wood survival demos, crafts and health screenings while learning about various dances and the regalia worn.
At various times during the day, the Master of Ceremonies will invite the public to participate in social dances. Educational displays will exhibit artifacts used and items traded by the American Indians. American Indian foods as well as other festival foods will be available for purchase.
Additionally, all veterans and servicemen and servicewomen will be honored. All native drummers, dancers, traders and food vendors are welcome.
